Using a frying pan: Heat one or two tablespoons of oil in a sauté pan, add the frozen penne, stirring occasionally and cook at medium heat for 5-6 minutes or until the desired consistency.
Using a microwave oven: Pour the frozen contents from the bag onto a plate or oven-proof baking dish. Place it in the center of the microwave oven and cook at maximum heat for five minutes. During cooking and after 2-3 minutes, stop the cooking and stir. Continue the cooking for the remainder of the five minutes or until the desired consistency.
