Using a frying pan: Place the frozen rice balls in a frying pan containing a generous amount of boiling oil and cook for 8-9 minutes turning frequently and until the desired golden colour. Remove from oil, drain and allow to rest on absorbent paper for one minute before serving.
Using a deep fryer: bring the oil temperature to 160-170 °C, submerge the frozen rice balls and allow to cook for approximately 7-8 minutes until the desired golden colour. Remove from oil, drain and allow to rest on absorbent paper for one minute before serving.
Oven-baked: Preheat the oven to the maximum temperature, Place the pre-oiled frozen rice balls on a sheet of aluminum foil. Wrap the sides of the aluminum over the rice balls to seal and allow to bake for approximately fifteen minutes.
